STAR Systems Core Team
The Hermes Core Team consists of its founders and primary stakeholders in STAR Systems and are:
Morris Jarvis (Founder) - Our fearless leader, Morris ensures his vision of the Hermes Spacecraft to his specifications.
Bob Camiano (Founder) - Long time friend of Morris, Bob is responsible subsystem integration and testing.
Devon Chellevold - Our main rocket guru, Devon is the lead propulsion engineer for the Hermes Spacecraft.
Mark Longanbach - Satellite engineer by day, Mark steers the daily operations of the Hermes development.
Pit Crew
Even though the Hermes is based on proven aerospace technology, it still requires significant expertise, experience, and highly specialized support in several areas. For these reasons, the pit crew was born: a group of engineers, consultants and specialists who have contributed directly on the Hermes. The Hermes Pit Crew consists of people who have been motivated enough, solely by their belief in our vision, to put their own time, energy, expertise and funds into STAR Systems’ effort without a guarantee or contract.
To date, the Hermes Pit Crew consists of over 100 people who have directly supported the current prototype hardware. A few key players are:
Rob Sears - Rob has provided key updates to the remote cockpit, as well as becoming the lead on our website, social media support, and messaging.
John Trelford - A STAR Systems supporter for many years, John has made several trips to the Rocket Shop to contribute his services however he can. Currently he is working on landing profiles and electrical schematics for the 10" test stand.
Bob McJunkin - Bob has spearheaded the rocket motor monitoring and control hardware and software build. Our rocket test firings are possible due to his assistance.
